With the fishing licence (obtainable from the local bar in Busserolles or hunting/fishing shops) you can fish in the local rivers. The rivers are stocked regularly with rainbow trout, and there are also tench, roach, carp and pike. We have also caught eels from the rivers.
The licence also permits fishing anywhere in the Dordogne department on categorised rivers (i.e. not on private waters and lakes).
Apart from the many rivers and streams in the area, there is fishing available on a daily licence basis at the public lakes of St Estephe and St Saud.
Coarse fishing is available on a neighbouring lake, 200 metres away, by arrangement in advance.
It is a private lake and fishing licence is not required.
It is stocked with common carp and grass carp. Perch and pike have also been caught from the lake.
